A Real Hero

Mr. Newman passed away, but his legacy of The Common Good lives on.  Without realizing it, Newman was a pioneer in Cause Marketing -- when businesses and nonprofits join forces to benefit The Common Good. Cause Marketing today comes in all shapes and sizes.  Next time you are at the grocery store, check out Yoplait yogurt.  You can donate to breast cancer research simply by returning specially marked lids.  Or, pick up the pink bag of Pepperidge Farm’s Milano cookies and know that a portion of the sale will be donated to the Susan G. Koman Foundation.  Even buying Dawn dish soap can trigger a donation to The Marine Mammal Center.

Why are companies so interested in doing good these days?  Because of you!  Consumers are more aware of the impact that businesses have on society and are demanding more from companies. Consumers today expect companies to give back.  No, they demand it! So keep up the good work and continue to choose products like Newman’s Own over the competition – not just because it tastes good, but because it helps The Common Good.
